Now that we’ve worked on identifying goals, achieving goals, and reviewing goal progress, let’s talk about what comes next.
Last week, you reviewed your goal progress and decided what worked and didn’t work. Now, just like last week, you must ask yourself did I reach my ultimate goal? Depending on your answer to last week’s question, there are a couple of routes that you can take.
If you did not reach your goal…
Is your goal still the same?
We started discussing goals several months ago, and life can take several twists and turns in a matter of weeks. Is your goal still suitable to your well-being? How will it change your life now?
Tweak your routine a bit.
Perhaps the quick fix to achieving your goals is simpler than you think! Go back and look at your answers on your personal reflection. Is there something you could have eliminated from your diet? Is there a habit that you’re still doing too much of?
You could even try going at your goal from a different angle. Instead of trying to run two miles a day and failing miserably, try to walk four.
Consult the experts.
Don’t be too proud to ask for help. Maybe there are ideas out there that you didn’t think of before. This doesn’t mean you’re wrong – it might just mean that you don’t have all of the answers. Be humble and understand that none of us do.

If you did reach your goal…
Think longer term.
As we close in on the second half of the year, there’s always room to go bigger and better. How can you amplify your progress in the next six months? How can you use your achievement to your advantage?
Set a brand new goal!
Now that you’ve achieved one goal, you know how to plan and persevere. What’s next for your life or your business? No matter what chapter you’re in, setting new goals to strive towards is always healthy. Take a breather, bask in your success, and then get out there and get at ‘em!
